This month we focus a lot of attention on being thankful. Well, Ty and I definitely have much to be thankful for. In church today, someone gave their talk on Gratitude and posed the question:
"How has my Heavenly Father blessed me today?"
It got me thinking and I've decided to make a post each day until the end of the month about something I'm thankful for.
Somethings are really important. Other things are silly, but I sure am thankful I've got 'em!
Today I'm thankful that we found a great new apartment that's within our budget. I searched high and low....and even lower...to find something that would be suitable.
I just have to say PRAYER WORKS!!!!!!
It was the last place of the day and I almost didn't call. The posting was up on craigslist (I adore that site with all my heart) the day before and for some reason I thought about not calling. I'm so glad I did. Out of everything I have seen so far, it was definitely the best. And the person we will be renting from is LDS as well, so that's cool.
When I walked in and saw the color on the walls, my heart did somersaults. I lurve this color and it will go really well with our decor.
Here's the Living Room from the door. Don't judge my chubbiness.
The entryway. They had just cleaned the carpets so we needed to take off our shoes.
The washer and dryer room next to the kitchen.
I was sad the kitchen was extremely smaller than my last one, but......
I have a pantry!!!!!! It will definitely make up for the lack of cupboard space. Though, I will miss the counter space.
And I get two...FULL...bathrooms!!!! Even though it's small, I'm so happy about the counter space in there.
This is why. My old bathroom.
Shower and toilet. You know you wanted to see.
Master Bedroom
Master Bathroom. Yay!
Hall leading to other bedrooms. I'm not sure if this was going to be a closet or not. That's my guess as to why the paint doesn't cover the whole wall.
Notice the spots on the floor. Apparently the people that moved out had one of Satan's spawn living with them.
Check out the cute little coat rack.
The other bedroom that we will probably use as the office.
Down the hall to the bathroom.
I'm not sure what the thought was going into this area, but I'm running with it like a wild crazy horse.
We felt it was important to include a shot of the Living Room with the steam cleaner in it.
Area right next to the door.
Isn't Suzette cute?
I loves her for coming with me to all these crazy places. I expect a lot of nights with her coming over and watching chick flicks nights.
With popcorn.
And probably chocolate.
I love chocolate.
I'm thankful for chocolate too. But that's a different post. :)
This is the part of the post where I cry, scream, beg, and gravel........
We are moving in on Saturday and need some assistance with the process. We'll be starting in Othello @ 9:00AM. Everything is boxed up and ready to go since we've basically been storing everything until we really move. We're thinking that it shouldn't take more than an hour to load up. In Kennewick, we plan to start @ 11:30AM. I'll be making homemade pizza and cookies for everyone that helps. (Sorry, Melissa. I stole your idea. :) ) Anyone that can be available to help will be greatly appreciated and greatly rewarded. So, please let me know if you can. Thanks all!

Wish we could be there to help! But we won't be able to make it. I'm sure your homemade pizza is good, just not 6 days of driving good :)
ReplyDeleteBest of luck with the move! Enjoy kennewick!
I'll tell Heath about it. Can you email an address to him. kurdtwalker@hotmail.com
ReplyDeleteThe pizza did bring 25 people to our tear out so it works. Feel free to steal all my awesome ideas! HAHA.
ReplyDeleteI can't wait to see what you do with the place, you've got great art pizzazz for decorating. I ditto Andrea's comment, I'd totally have a packing party with you!
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful warm chocolate color! Should be fun to see what you do with this space.
