In other words....I'm thankful for my head and everything on it.
I'm thankful for my eyes that let me see the beautiful world around me. That they let me see colors and shapes and faces and people.
Even as much as they drive me crazy, I'm thankful for my ears. Sure they stick out and people called me mean names because of them, like "Dumbo" and "Elf ears". I'm not bitter. I'm thankful.
I lied.
I'm a little bitter, but mostly I'm thankful. Thankful I can hear and understand sounds.
I'm thankful for my mouth that lets me talk.
I've been told that others are not so thankful. To them I say, "HA!" : )
I'm also thankful for my mouth because it allows me to eat yummy food.....and kiss my really good lookin' hubby......not necessarily in that order. ; )
I'm thankful for my nose that allows me to smell...the good and the bad. Please do not judge the difference in color of my neck and face. And while your at it, don't even say anything about my eyebrows.
The other day I was watching Oprah with my mother-in-law. She was interviewing a woman who had been attacked by a chimp. Anyone catch this episode? This woman, Charla, is amazing and has a pretty great outlook. I don't think I could say that I would want to continue with life after what she has gone through. The animal took the majority of her face before she was saved. She now wears hats with a covering over her face so she doesn't scare people. Makes wrinkles look like not such a bad thing doesn't it?
Yeah, I'm grateful for the head I have. I feel very blessed for it.
It really is the little things that count.
(Note: This post was made possible by my Mom and Dad. Thanks guys for giving some good stuff......except those ears. We really could have gone a different route on that one.)
What is your favorite facial feature? I like my eyes the mostest.

Hm, I do love my head too. I mostly love my brain. Does that count? :)
ReplyDeletePeople always comment on my "beautiful hair", so I'm thankful for that and the confidence boost that always comes with it!
ReplyDeleteI am a blog creeper that came over from "That wife". I think it is always a good thing to have those moments that make you realize the things you are grateful for. I would have to pick eyes too. Probably because I think they are the most fun to dress up with makeup.
ReplyDeleteHahaha!! You crack me up!
ReplyDeleteI like my eyes too. I've gotta like something!
