It's been awhile since I've really posted what's been happening with us.
I feel like there's so much going on and no where to begin, but I'll just start with the biggest thing.
(WARNING: NO I'M NOT PREGNANT!)
Almost a month ago, Ty lost his job. There was mild panic in the beginning, but that didn't last long and we've come to realize it really was a blessing. Ty wasn't happy at this job and wasn't doing what he wanted. He was the sole IT person they had and there were so many jobs to be done. Regardless, they let him go and now we're free to do whatever we want.
Right after Ty told me, I think there was disbelief and then internal panic for about a minute. But then I went to the bathroom and said a personal prayer and I've never felt discouraged or distraught. Really, we can only move forward and we have an optimistic outlook for the future. We're still not 100% sure what will happen, but we're leaning towards Ty going back to school and that will most likely take us to Tri-cities (Kennewick, Richland, Pasco). Ty has his AA, but has been blessed that jobs have fallen into his lap and hasn't needed to worry about schooling. It's great that he has the experience, but it would be great to progress in his sought after field if he has more education.
WSU (Washington State University) has a campus in Tri-cities and out of all the WSU campuses, that would be our choice. Ty had started a program there (integrated with CBC [Columbia Basin College]) when a job came about. Now that he's not commited to a company and we have the ability to do that, I think it's a good idea to take advantage of the timing. It could be that he ends up finding another job instead and everything works out that way, you never know. If it turns out that we do go to Tri-cities we'll probably move over there pretty soon.
In the meantime, I still have my job. There have been some frustrations with that and I'm hoping that we can figure something out so I won't have to stay there much longer.
When I'm not working, I'm cleaning and making delicious Chocolate Chip cookies.
I've been trying new recipes every Tuesday, since I don't work that day. I love it!
Or we get to spend time with family.
Obviously, we have a lot of fun!
I'll have to catch up on some of the cooking and other activities that we've been doing later. But for now at least you all know what's going on. Thank you to everyone for your support and love! We don't know what we would do without you. We are so blessed!
