Date Night Camp Out.

I know what you're thinking.

"A Campout in the WINTER! She must be crazy!"

I am, but that's neither here nor there.
Last week, I decided that we needed a fun date night since we hadn't really done anything in quite awhile. Ty hadn't been feeling very well during the week so I thought we should be able to do something relaxing.

So, after dinner, we pulled the mattress off the bed and put in the living room.
Honestly, we could do this permanently and I would be A-OK with it. : )
Since we don't have our regular couch here, this was a nice substitute.
We put all of our pillows out and got comfy.
Snuggled... : )
This is just a really perfect representation of our relationship.
Once we were all comfy-cozy, we busted out with the best desert on the planet.
Scoop Cookies and Cream Ice Cream onto an Oreo and you'll be in HEAVEN.
I had been craving some Apple Pie, so I snagged a Sara Lee miniature one from Safeway.
REALLY YUMMY!!!!
Yes, I know. I'm brilliant for coming up with such an awesome date.

We actually ended up leaving the mattress there until Sunday since it was so comfy....and convenient.

What's the most creative date you've been on with your hubby?

  2. That looks like so much fun! I wish our bedrooms weren't on the second floor and our family room on the first... it's a little long to pull the mattress... otherwise I would be doing that tonight in front of the fire place! It looks romantic! (well, other than the oreos... are they ever a romantic cookie?)

  3. Great idea...and then when kids come along you will have to do that with them. They will love it!

Most fun date: I think just getting away...we went to Seattle and stayed on the waterfront last May and it was so nice...Pikes Place, shopping, eating...it was great!

  4. I LOVE dates like this! What a cute idea. Jon and I love to do surprise dates, one person is blindfolded and the one who planned it drives and plans everything without letting the other know. So much fun! We're going to have to try this one out, thanks!

  7. One time, we came home from church early cause Brent was sick. So, we got the air bed out and put it in the living room. We watched Lost and took naps. It was so much fun! It was fun until we found a HUGE puddle in our kitchen coming from the other side of the basement apartment....something was clogged and it decided to leak into our side of the house. BOOO. ha. But, it was a fun time anyways. :)
